Press Release of Senator Lugar Patriot Volunteer Fire Department receives $1,472 grant Wednesday, July 7, 2010 U.S. Sen. Dick Lugar’s office was notified that the Patriot Volunteer Fire Department, Patriot, Indiana, will receive a grant totaling $1,472 for operations and safety. The grants are through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program.   In Fiscal Year 2009, AFG was administered by FEMA’s Grant Programs Directorate in cooperation with the U.S. Fire Administration.
